As hate for Jews becomes normalized and acceptable around the globe, so does the refrain become popularized that Jews, “cry wolf,’ “play the victim,” or “deserve,” the poor treatment they receive. The hate is no longer coming from a predictable direction, but rather from all sides. Complicating issues even more, the hate sometimes comes from other Jews, thus confirming the sentiments of other antisemites. We need all hands on deck to win this war.
