Knowing who you are is just the first step in marketing. Understanding what problem or problems you solve for customers is a hugely critical second step in your marketing efforts. Think about trying to understand someone who is pitching you a service, but they cannot tell you what it is they do. A plumber who cannot articulate what services he provides is going to be ineffectual; simply telling someone you’re a plumber without specifying what areas or types of plumbing they specialize in is going to lead the customer to assume quite a lot.
This aspect of your business and subsequent marketing is so important, you will want to workshop this one out. Not because you don’t understand the answer, but there may be problems you can solve that you are not aware of and that is money you’re leaving on the table! Maximize the value you provide and you will have much greater success!
