Raised on four and a half acres of farmland in rural Wisconsin, self-taught multi-instrumentalist Riley Campos started getting serious in music at age 15 by picking up and playing whatever scavenged guitars, electric organs, or partially working drum kits his father had around, while simultaneously learning the fundamentals of recording on a thrift shop Yamaha 4 track cassette recorder; later switching the recording format to digital, but still retaining independence by multitrack recording over himself, essentially becoming his own producer and band.
In addition to being a recording and performing artist, he’s the host of the podcast How I Wrote it, where he breaks down the production and inspiration behind his songs.
