With Labor Day just a few days away, it’s time to start planning what’s on the cookout menu, and what better way to celebrate the “final” days of summer than with a cheese and chile stuffed burger that everyone in the fam can enjoy?

You work hard all year to put food on the table, so reward yourself on this laborless holiday with these hatch chile stuffed burgers. Ok, ok we apologize for our recent obsession with hatch chilies, but they are just too good and too fresh this time of year not to put them in everything!

The blue cheese/chile combo packed into every bite will leave your BBQ guests speechless, especially if you don’t tell them about the surprise inside. From start to finish, this recipe should take you less than an hour, so that gives you plenty of extra time to enjoy time with family and friends on your day off.

Of course no burger is complete without a side of crispy spuds, so we thought we’d bust out the deep fryer this week to show you how simple it is to make your own french fries and homemade seasoning.

Burgers and fries go together just about as well as blue cheese and hatch chilies!
