What an interesting interview, so far. I had to stop the video to share this comment before I forget it. I find it fascinating to hear firsthand a common thread throughout the black and brown diaspora. We young people of color survive and thrive functioning in an adult world while separated from our mothers who are caring for other people’s children. I’m so fortunate to have had my mother and father with me. And I’m proud to hear Mr. Mashaba’s story of resilience. Well done! And I love the show’s new intro.
