Description

Welcome to the river family!

In this episode of WhatewaterTV, we’re featuring a product review sponsored by Hot Bento, the 10-minute, self-heating lunchbox. Hot Bento is ranked #3 in Outside Business Journal’s “hottest new gear” review.

With the Hot Bento, you can enjoy warm food on the go!

📍Filmed on the ancestral lands of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, Ute, and Ochethi Sakowin peoples.

HOT BENTO FEATURES

We found the claims about the Hot Bento product to be wholly substantiated under our test conditions. The Hot Bento test conditions ranged from heating various foods in our “test kitchen” in a dry climate at more than 4,000-feet in elevation to approximately 8,000-feet with ambient temperatures ranging from 68°F/20°C to 72°F/22.2°C.

-The Hot Bento proved to be rugged under high elevation conditions.

-And it withstood a drop from three feet onto a carpeted surface, grass surface, and a fine gravel surface. Remarkably, there are no dings or visible scratches on the Hot Bento after testing.

-Out of the box, the Hot Bento required 15-minutes to charge fully.

-During three tests, the fully-charged Hot Bento’s battery lasted 30-minutes.

-We warmed two meals for 15-minutes each on one battery charge.

-A completely drained battery recharged in an hour and a half.

-The Hot Bento capacity is three cups or 24 fluid ounces.

Our adventure sports test consisted of checking the temperature of a very dense breakfast burrito. 🌯🌶🤠

“Anyone on a healthy eating plan including gluten-free, low-glycemic, vegan, or other hard-to-find options when eating out or traveling will enjoy the Hot Bento.”

Low Glycemic “(low GI) foods contain carbohydrates that take the body longer to break down than high-GI foods. Low-GI foods raise a person’s blood sugar levels more slowly than moderate or high-GI foods.”

“The Hot Bento is an excellent alternative to a backpacking stove because sometimes I’ve noticed when I’m ice fishing, for example, and there are high winds it’s hard to keep the stove lit, and it also blows away when there are 50-miles an hour winds.

HOT BENTO PRO TIP

With an investment of under $90 to buy a hot bento, you’re going to want to protect this investment from the elements. In extremely cold conditions, keep the battery insulated because your battery charge will last longer.

I plan to pair my hot Bento with a watershed dry bag to safeguard my investment.
