Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Talks--The Last Thursday of Each Month on Clubhouse

Channel avatar WhitewaterTV

We will pick this series up in the fall. All of us dirtbag adventurers are outside.  SYOTR!

On the last Thursday of each month, at 6:00 pm US MT, WhitewaterTV hosts a one-hour talk on some aspect of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in paddlesports.

This is your opportunity to talk with paddlesports industry leaders like Paddling Magazine's Managing Editor, the Sales Director at Kokatat, a co-founder of Badfish SUP, the Sales Manager at Immersion Research, and others. There are psychologists, instructors, DEI experts, advertising executives, paddlesports instructors, business owners, enthusiasts, and professionals discussing how to grow adventure sports.

We always have several industry "hosts" prepared to talk. And because this is a dynamic community discussion, anyone in the audience can raise their virtual hand--as this is audio only to speak. The conversation sometimes gets off-topic, but we bring it back to our intended focus. And some great collaborative conversations take place. This is a safe space where everyone can feel visible, vulnerable, and heard.

Clubhouse (CH) is currently only available for iPhone users and by invitation only. See you on CH!

Below is a list of our current and previous topics of discussion:

Thursday, March 25, 2021, 6:00 pm US MT--How to be a good ally to People of Color entering and participating in adventure sports.

Thursday, February 11, 2021, 6:00 pm US MT--People of Color (POC) don't do adventure sports. Breakdown the history, cultural baggage, and limiting beliefs around POC in nature and adventure sports.
