Gary Benoit and Frontline Resiliency

Description

While Gary Benoit was serving as a police officer, he was involved in an officer involved shooting. He experienced an occupational stress injury, which can also be called PTSD. In fact, he noticed he was checking off all the boxes for PTSD. He got curious about how he could use this as an opportunity to grow. He discovered he had a dream to be a writer, retired early to write his book, “A Call for Service: Overcoming Adversity through Resilience,” began speaking to first responders and earned his license as a financial professional. The book focuses on the steps he took to recover from his stress injury. He and his wife developed Awareness Workshops designed for police, firemen, and paramedics where they teach about frontline resiliency (Instagram). Website: benoitwellnessconsulting.com.
