Seamlessly combining Rock, Funk, Latin and Jazz influences, Brightshine has created an expansive and expressive sound that is uniquely their own. Brightshine features Pete Sawyer’s evocative lyrics and stylistically diverse compositions as well as the band’s fluidly expressive improvisations. Their debut album Shadows In The Sky was recorded live with minimal overdubs and is a document of the musical prowess and tone poetry of the musicians as well as the telepathic interaction the band built with one another during the arrangement and recording process. Brightshine has been writing and recording new music during quarantine and eagerly awaits getting back to live performances when it’s safe to do so. Brightshine features Celso Alberti (Steve Winwood, Airto), Eric Levy (Garaj Mahal, Night Ranger, Steve Kimock), Murph Murphy (Poor Man’s Whiskey, Stu Allen), Pete Sawyer (Seconds On End, Echo Street) and Maria Caycedo (Verismo Opera Company).
