In this episode BA! interviews Michael Anthony Pegues, a longtime artist from Brooklyn, New York, whose contemporaries were the likes of Jean-Michael Basquiat and Dapper Dan. The multimedia artist talks about his career from the 70s onward, using pop art as an escape from the decades-long war on drugs in Black communities, and recalls the once-famed New York nightclub culture of the 80s.
